Based out of Ottawa, Canada, Sweezy makes melodic trap and R&B. Late-night music, atmospheric and vocal-led, more sung than rapped.
He was a producer for ten years before he was an artist. Sweezy taught himself FL Studio in 2015 and started making beats, building a name around the city for warm, vocal-forward production. The credits piled up over the next decade: 2Kz out of Toronto, YardboyK, Lindasson, Lia Kloud, Pnny', Freddy Printz, Imani Carolyn. His beats have run past 250,000 streams. "Beautiful Vibe" with YardboyK got picked up by Hot 89.9, Ottawa's Top 40 station. SHIFTER Magazine wrote up iywm' in 2023. When Night Lovell put together an Amazon Music playlist of his favourite songs out of Ottawa, one of the picks was "KUMO" by Lia Kloud, a Sweezy beat.
He'd spent ten years building the sound. In 2024 he went and built the voice that sits on top of it. A year of vocal training at Barrhaven Music Academy came first, then Like Me — "Tequila Girls" off that project ended up soundtracking Movati Wellness's Instagram. 2025 was a run: BSIDE BOYZ, "PRADA BOO" and "TELL ME" with YardboyK, a verse on TkMN's "1000 Words," and two cuts on OTTO's LATE NIGHTS & EARLY MORNINGS compilation.
He records at Audiovalley with his engineer Dray. The songs get played out at home — DJ Nycky Ghost and DJ Spinny spin them at TOMO, Gridwerks and Rabbit Hole — and he's performed at the Saw Centre, the Ottawa Caribbean Festival and OTTO. He works in the same circle as the Ottawa artists Spotify has already pushed nationally: YardboyK and TkMN have both run on Northern Bars, and TkMN has landed New Music Friday and New Music Friday Canada.
"Drank" landed in May 2026 and became his biggest record to date. "Crush" followed on August 28, built with RIAA Gold–certified producer Pinnacle, 8x-platinum producer Wylo, and DJ Kidd. SWEEZY BABY, a five-track EP, arrives in 2027. An album after that.
